Our business cards get another facelift. We decide to keep the logo, but change the tagline. The expectation is that by removing the tagline about “cabinets”, it will help our clients to understand that we are a full service kitchen remodeling company and not just a cabinet company.

After waiting almost 15 years, www.TheCabinetLady.com domain name becomes available for purchase. We purchase it and start using the .com instead of the .biz in our business. But make the decision to keep the .biz going as an alternative domain since it is now recognized by our clients.

The Cabinet Lady hosts our holiday dinner at Le Chat Noir (a French restaurant). During Covid, we sent out food baskets. But it is nice to meet in person again.

The Cabinet Lady is a vendor at a local tradeshow held at our favorite tile store, Floor and Decor. This time we brought a bigger selection of the cabinets that we sell. We still kept the tablet running with our finished kitchens since it was so popular.
March 2019
The Cabinet Lady decides to add our own employee installation crew. We will have more control over quality of the work and timing of the various trades. Now we can do electrical, plumbing, and other construction aspects of the jobs.
February 2019
Our new business cards are updated with the fact that we are now incorporated. They also feature our new logo and contractor’s license number. The tagline is slightly modified from the original one.
January 2019
The Cabinet Lady decides to get our own Contractor’s License. This will allow us to hire the needed employees to provide an all-in-one experience.

The Cabinet Lady hosts our holiday dinner at The Magic Lamp (a steakhouse).

The Cabinet Lady is a vendor at a local tradeshow held at our favorite tile store, Floor and Decor. We brought our favorite best selling Shaker style door samples. And a tablet running photos of our finished kitchen projects.

Elana Riedel attends her first Kitchen and Bath Industry Show in Las Vegas. This tradeshow brings together over 100,000 construction professionals during 3 days. A great place to stay current with all the latest ideas. It alternates between Nevada and Florida. Going to the show becomes an exciting tradition. K-cup holders by Rev-A-Shelf were popular items in 2016.
May 2014
After lots of discussion, the “50’s mom vibe” logo is chosen. The expectation is that it will be associated with happy kitchen memories (both past and future).
April 2014
The Cabinet Lady is giving our clients a gift bag when a kitchen is finished. The gift bag contains cabinet cleaning product, countertop cleaning product, and other goodies. The colors of the bags rotate from orange with black lettering to blue with white lettering, to tan with brown lettering.
February 2014
The hunt is on for a new logo to represent The Cabinet Lady. It should be approachable, unpretentious, and fun. These 2 were selected from multiple international submissions.
December 2013
Elana Riedel decides to stop doing real estate appraisals and transition from part-time cabinet sales to running The Cabinet Lady full time. It’s time to take the plunge!

The Cabinet Lady decides to add installation services to the company. We begin by partnering with other contractors. We handle the design and sales, while they handle the installation.

In order to gather testimonials for our website, we have decided to hold a contest. Every client will have the opportunity to fill out the form. We will draw a winner each quarter for a $25 gift card (this contest went on for 5 years).
December 2010
The Cabinet Lady Facebook page is started. Pages are also started on Angi’s List, Yelp, and Houzz.
October 2010
The first website for The Cabinet Lady is launched on Go Daddy. Www.TheCabinetLady.biz is chosen for the domain name since the .com is taken by another business on the East Coast.

Our first business cards use a stock photo. But at least it helps to make us more legitimate in our client’s eyes. Our tagline of “All wood cabinets at less than particleboard prices” sticks around in slightly modified forms through the years.
September 2009
Elana Riedel starts selling cabinets part-time to supplement her real estate appraisal income. The 30 years of walking through houses and drawing floorplans helps with kitchen cabinet layouts.
