Most Contractors are good at what they do (electrical, plumbing, roofing), or they wouldn’t still be in business. They arrive with limited options, expect you to ask a few questions, and make a choice. They are not Designers, and don’t claim to be.

Kitchens are much more complicated than that. Even the simplest kitchen involves cabinetry and organizational options (100s of choices), countertop and backsplash (100s of choices), handles (dozens of choices), sinks and faucets (dozens of choices), as well as electrical, plumbing, and sometimes flooring. All these decisions, and most Homeowners have never remodeled a kitchen before. There is a disconnect between what the Homeowner and the Contractor expect.

But at The Cabinet Lady, we are different from most companies. We start with a good design as the foundation. Our Designer will meet with you in your home, and bring a design wagon filled with choices. She’ll work with you step-by-step to find the best layout for your family and budget. You can expect your first consultation to last about 2 hours. During that time, shel’ll discuss what you like about your current kitchen and what you want to change. This is a great time to show her any photos you have found that “speak to you”. She’ll guide you through the process of choosing cabinets (stock or custom), countertops (quartzite, granite, or quartz), sinks, and handles. Then, she’ll take that information back to the office to create 3D renderings for you to see what your finished kitchen will look like before you begin the construction process. You’ll have the opportunity to give your input on changes in order to get the design “just right”. Once the construction process is underway, she’ll go with you to the stone yards (to see your choices in larger pieces before making your final selection), and the tile store (for assistance in choosing backsplash and flooring).

The Cabinet Lady is a woman owned, licensed, insured, General Contractor business working in the West end of the Inland Empire of Southern California since 2009. We have completed over 500 kitchens since that time. We specialize in kitchens (but do other related projects). We attend the national trade shows and local meetings to keep abreast of the newest trends and manufacturer offerings.
